“If you were meant to have holes in your ears….
….you would have been born with them” was my mothers response when as a 7 year old i begged to have my ears pierced. And wasnt she just sooo miffed when her own mother paid for me to have them done on my 8th birthday. Then of course as a 14 year old, i added new holes every few weeks until my ears were pierced all the way around, but by then my hair was blue and the state of my ears was the least of my mothers worries! (hey, it was the early 80’s – coloured hair and multiple piercings were generally only seen on punks, not on accountants and lawyers as they are today).
But, I digress – earrings is what i’m here to show you – mine anyway.
My earrings are where my ‘critters’ range began – first with a sparrow, then a butterfly, a dragonfly and the list continues to grow. But, i’m sorry, i just cant bring myself to do a spider. Not now, not ever. Shudder…
